Summer flowers and stooks...
The last few days have been lovely and sunny - full summer, and here are the flowers to prove it. The cows haven't eaten them all yet! Down in the nature reserve there's still ragged robin in damp patches while birdsfoot trefoil and bedstraws are blooming everywhere. Purple Betony is coming out in the shorter grass, and woody nightshade is scrambling through the brambles. Across the hedge, Roger (our neighbour) has cut his long-stalked thatching wheat and stacked it in traditional stooks.
